So, just as soon as it seems I'm on the home stretch in getting my comic book project together enough to REALLY start (even having the layouts for the first scene finished), I am swamped with work that might mean I have to put it off.

But it's good work!

I have TONS of freelance, which is really important to me, especially now that I'm trying to decide between more school or finding a job after I graduate with my Associate's this spring. There are currently six websites that I am designing and coding, four of which are "business" (the other two are a revamp of swinsea.com for school and the website I'll use for my comic). Keeps me pretty busy, but in a good way.

I also have my first real illustration work in aaages. I've done little bits here and there for family and friends, but this is my first real gig that actually pays consistently and will force me to develop my portfolio in ways I'd neglected before - for example, it'll hopefully fill in that hole I have in place of observational/life drawing I need for my art school application. I'm doing drawing tutorials for a website, which I'll start uploading previews to and linking in my deviations once some are up.

The only downside to that is they want three per day, which will be kind of hard to do with full time classes, two part time jobs and all of those websites!

Anyway, even though there's a bit of negative to this, the upcoming month of November is going to be very important to me professionally and I'm excited for that. And even better, it'll help me develop as an artist as well. I'll try to upload some of my design work to show off what I've been up to.
